The famous annual festival of sardines in August will give you an opportunity to taste the traditional delicious dish of the Portuguese – grilled sardines.

West of Portimão:

East of Portimão

Carvoeiro town (12 km) with picturesque rocky beaches; entertainment and theme park Zoomarine Algarve (29 km) with a dolphinarium, water park, 4D cinema, animal shows, etc.; and from here, within a close proximity, Spain with its pearl – Seville (258 km), which hosts the largest and most beautiful Cathedral in Europe.

North of Portimão:

The fortress -city and the ancient capital of the south of Portugal is the city Silves (19 km) where the most delicious oranges grow; Monchique mountains (27 km), the former royal residence – one of the largest health resorts in the country with hot and natural mineral springs, eucalyptus, cork and citrus trees.

South of Portimão:
